I have such a soft spot for this painting since it came to fruition a few months ago. Contrary to my usual ‘hit and run’ way of working, this is one of a few where I really took my time to let it evolve into something other worldly. Even now, I can sit and look at it and find an escape to somewhere else for a moment. The concept for this painting came about in 2020 during the height of lockdown No. 2. Thinking back on it, I probably needed an otherworldly escape.
For this reason, I'm incredibly excited to release 10 limited edition prints. It came about as a request from a close friend and I decided that I really wanted other people to enjoy the same feeling that this painting brings to me.
The prints are incredibly high quality, printed on a substantial pressed linen stock. Though a print will never be exactly the same as the original, this print matches the canvas original extraordinarily well. The details are sharp and fluid and as an extra bonus, it features its own natural border and the signature Luutch stamp.
